Strawberry and Vanilla Icecream
150-300g hemp seeds soaked overnight in water
juice of 3 oranges or spring/filtered water
a little orange zest/peel
4 dried figs, soaked overnight in water
2 dried apricots, soaked overnight in water
2 prunes, soaked overnight in water
50g sunflower seeds, soaked overnight in water
50g pumpkin seeds, soaked overnight
50g sesame seeds, soaked overnight
4 bananas
½ tsp coconut butter or a few cubes fresh coconut
A handful goji berries
1 teaspoon rosehip powder
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
1 small punnet strawberries
Optional but highly recommended extras - experiment and vary amounts according to taste:
1 teaspoon maca
1 teaspoon hemp leaf powder
1/2 teaspoon noni powder
1/2 teaspoon he shou wu
1 teaspoon mesquite
1/2 teaspoon suma
Drain the hemp seeds and blend with the orange juice and some water from the soaked dried fruit as necessary. Strain and squeeze through muslin or similar cloth (a muslin bag is easiest) to make hemp milk. Drain the soaked ingredients and blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Spoon into tubs and freeze.
If using a high powered blender there is no need to soak the dried fruit overnight.

Rosehip powder, vanilla powder, hemp leaf powder, noni powder, he shou wu, mesquite and suma available from Oceanwavevibrations.
The noni powder has just come down in price and is an amazingly economical way of getting noni juice.
The vanilla powder is a new product and a very easy and tasty way to use real and raw vanilla.
It has been very warm here and we have still been able to buy Cornish strawberries on our local market. It would be interesting to experiment with other local seasonal fruit.
