AVALON RISING, an ‘earth mysteries’ group from Glastonbury, have teamed up with Sussex based THE ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY to organise an arena at this years SUNRISE CELEBRATION called ‘Out of the Ordinary’. The ‘Conference-in-a-Field’ will host multimedia talks and workshops by an international line-up of authors and researchers. The Sunrise Celebration is taking place between 29th May and 1st June 2008 at Bearley Farm, near Yeovil and are expecting a capacity crowd of 10,000. The last two events have been critically acclaimed and have won awards for being ethically sound and ‘green’.

AVALON RISING focus on earth energies, megalithic science, geomancy, the sacred landscape, Grail Mysteries, sacred geometry, ancient wisdom and bridging a gap between the outdated ‘modern’ world and the new ‘Golden Age’ that is currently dawning on our planet.  They produce an annual journal that is launched at The Sunrise Celebration every year and is available at most festivals and several conferences across the country. They currently hold regular talks at Lalune Café on Glastonbury High Street. The next talk is an Equinox special with Stuart Mason and Michael Hanby, both from The Antiquarian Society, with special guest Rollo Maughling, Arch-Druid of Stonehenge.
